Founder and Managing Member of the firm, R. Lewis Smith, Jr. formed Smith and Company in January, 2003. A native of Shreveport, Lewis Smith opened his independent practice in 1996 in the Pierremont area of Shreveport, where he and his staff identified and developed a niche in technology and financial management consulting. Soon outgrowing this space, Lewis moved his office to down town Shreveport.

Smith and Company provides both traditional Public Accounting services and Technology and Small Business consulting services. Our traditional public accounting services include income, estate, trust, and corporate tax return planning and preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll processing. Other traditional public accounting services include IRS representation, sales tax services, financial statement preparation, cash flow and budgeting analysis, and client-generated online tax preparation.
